COMEDK ROUND 1 ALLOTMENT || WHAT TO DO NOW || CUTOFF EXPECTED IN FURTHER ROUNDS

  • Karan Singh Rana

Hey everyone, it's Karan here, and welcome back to my channel! I hope you all are doing well and taking good care of yourselves. Today, let's dive straight into the recent results and cut-offs for college admissions.

In the latest round of admissions, the results have been quite interesting. As predicted earlier, the cut-off for RV College of Engineering has indeed decreased compared to what was indicated in the mock exams. For instance, the predicted cut-off in mock exams was 204, but it closed at 193 in reality.

Similarly, looking at other colleges like BMS, the scenario is quite similar. The cut-off that was expected was around 1365, and it closed at 1359. This trend suggests that students have been quite cautious in their choice filling, ensuring they align their preferences carefully.

Moving forward, in the upcoming rounds, you'll have the opportunity to make adjustments to your choices based on the latest results. From July 12th to July 18th, you'll be involved in decision-making, confirmation, and payment processes. This phase allows you to review and optimize your college preferences further.

When it comes to finalizing your choices, you'll have options like Accept and Freeze, which is ideal for those who are satisfied with their chosen college and want to secure their place without any changes. On the other hand, Accept and Upgrade allows you to keep your options open for potential upgrades in the future.

A critical aspect during this phase is to double-check your choice filling. Ensure there are no errors or outdated information regarding the colleges and their respective codes. This meticulous review can prevent any last-minute complications or misunderstandings.

Now, let's talk about specific colleges. For example, MS Ramaiya College of Engineering has seen considerable interest, particularly in Computer Science. However, trends suggest that BMS may emerge stronger over time, surpassing even MS Ramaiya in popularity.

Keep an eye on colleges like JSS, Dayanand Sagar, and GITM. GITM, especially, has a history where its Computer Science program tends to rise to the top in popularity. However, it's essential to research thoroughly as sometimes seats may deliberately be left vacant to create an illusion of high demand.

In terms of branch preferences, Computer Science-related branches continue to be in high demand, with noticeable shifts in AI and Data Science branches. It's crucial to understand these trends to make informed decisions that align with your career aspirations.

As we conclude, remember to approach your college admissions with a strategic mindset. Research your options, analyze the trends, and make decisions that best fit your academic and career goals.

That's all from my side today, folks. This is Karan signing off. Stay tuned, stay safe, and stay blessed. Until next time, Jai Hind, Jai Bharat, and as always, God bless you all!
